Introducing DreamzAR - AI Landscape Design Ideas Tool

Welcome to our newsletter on beehive. This is our very first introductory post on the DreamzAR app. We’re glad you’re here and can’t wait to share with you what excites us about DreamzAR.

DreamzAR’s Story

I created DreamzAR to solve my own problem - visualizing new landscape design ideas for my yard. Back in the summer of 2021, while working on my backyard project, I realized I needed a tool to help visualize new ideas and make choices regarding plants, hardscaping elements like pavers, and ground covers such as lawn grass, mulch, etc. As a techie, I decided to leverage augmented reality, and thus, DreamzAR was born.

DreamzAR was developed with Augmented Reality, and I launched the DreamzAR app for iOS in Spring 2022. Using AR, DreamzAR allows users to place life-size 3D plant models, lay ground covers, and add garden elements like benches, pergolas, and even fences. Here is a very first demo of the original app.

And the journey begins …

The original iOS app launched in Spring 2022, and since then, the app has been continually revised based on the feedback we've received. I have been seeking better ways to solve the problem of visualizing landscaping ideas tailored to the yard rather than browsing through a catalog of inspiring ideas. We discovered new technologies like generative AI, which opened up exciting opportunities in the creative processes of landscape design. It made perfect sense to integrate AI capabilities into the app.

Additionally, the original app served only iOS users. Earlier this year, we launched a web version of DreamzAR, which includes all the 2D design capabilities of the iOS app and more.

We are constantly looking to add value to the app and strive to solve the target problems in the best possible way. We are committed to making this happen.
